KIYOCAYO is a GeoCOMPASS.CENTER Initiative Ecotourism Campground in Belize Central America, made possible by endowments from the Zer0Xypher.DAO's Altruistic Compassionate Engagement (ACE) Commission and powered by blockchain and web3 technology.
What is KIYOCAYO
KIYO is a sacred tone among the IKI.XI YAKU TAN-I Society, which transliterates as monkey or baboon. This tone is rooted in KAYA, another word that transliterates as perpetual abundance, rainforest community, or biodiversity. Monkeys/baboons are seen as important examples of nature's highly organized biodiversity and are treated with reverence within this community. Cayo District is the location of our Community Conservation Reserve lands in western Belize near the Guatemalan border. It is known for its beautiful rainforest, diverse wildlife, and numerous Mayan ruins. It is also home to the IKI.XI YAKU TAN-I Society and their beliefs about the sacredness of monkeys/baboons.

#GeoCOMPASS
KIYOCAYO proudly adopts the Yucatan Black Howler Monkey as its spirit totem. This iconic creature is renowned worldwide and is a treasured member of the Cayo rainforest. Its renowned howl holds the Guinness World Record as the loudest land animal on Earth. We use the Yucatan Black Howler Monkey's call as a rallying cry to speak out against deforestation and exploitation of Belizean land and its resources.

The GeoCOMPASS initiative utilizes Web3 Blockchain to tokenize conservation land, natural resource, and capacity-building assets into mintable and trackable GeoCOMPASS tokens. These tokens will facilitate the GeoCOMPASS Initiative's conservation land & natural resource acquisitions while creating incentives for sustainable conservation cultivation community and construction projects and developing a digital platform for the secure and transparent exchange of land assets and natural resource-based products and eco-services.

Tropic Research Institute of Bionomix & Zer0Technix TRIBZ GeoCOMPASS.Center is an interdisciplinary research institute dedicated to advancing the understanding of tropical ecosystems and their management, the conservation of biodiversity, the use of zero-grid technologies to reduce environmental impact, and the development of sustainable management practices
To protect Belize's biodiverse rainforest, the Government of Belize (GOB) has partnered with TRIBZ GeoCOMPASS.Center to equip members of the IKI.XI YAKU TAN-I community with access to funding, and capacity-building resources, necessary to develop citizenry into qualified biodiversity science and security professionals.
